Actually, the bigger issues that this whole Zoe Quinn debacle unearthed (and I've been following it for a while, so I'm surprised to see someone else make a topic about it on here) is that she deliberately sabotaged TheFineYoungCapitalist's own program to fund her own, faked attacks on her Twitter to gain sympathy and then later on faked attacks on herself to gain sympathy again and got in touch with Reddit mods to close down any discussions about her.
But a bigger issue than that is the nature of a journalism genre that is financially tied up with the people it is reporting, which led to Kotaku changing their stance on Patreon donations.
