Ok, I’m going to start a tournament to see how it would work on this site. The tournament will be like the CBUB Fantasy Draft Season back on the old site. Like before, you pick 7 characters, but there will be no slots or benches. When your character wins a match, you will get a point, and if you get 10 points, you will be one of the four or more members that make it to the finals to where all your characters team-up in the final matches. I will be using the Battle Terrains that are on the old site.
I will start another topic to where you sign-up for your characters. You can only use the characters that are the database. Some of the Team/Group/Place/Universe-Characters maybe ok for the tournament, but only pick one of them for your team. Sign-ups will start on April 12th, so that should give you some time to look over the database.
I sure some of you are worry about one-sided matches like “Korra vs Goku”. But here is something that could help. I give you the “Equally Match Button”. It will make a character strong/powerful as the other character. Which means that Korra will be strong/powerful as Goku in the match. However, only three members can activate the button by replying in Bold, Activate Equally Match Button.
If you have any questions or advices, just reply to this topic.
Also, do you think the characters should have a Second Fight Record for what matches they won/lost in tournaments?

Good work Venom. You certainly have my endorsement, and if you need my help specifically just ask. Other than that, I might participate, and... continue watching the database for your favorite additions at different points, folks.

I'd be down for a tournament, but I wouldn't add the equalize powers thing because then its not a competition. Equalizing powers means no one can debate who wins since they would be, well, equal. It's almost like a handicapped highschool football game where the best team has to play in oven mitts so nobody's feelings get hurt if they crush the home team.
I actually really liked the character slots idea, it kept the Goku's from fighting the Korra's and forced people to get more creative. At the very least power tiers might be helpful.

Well to let you know, I will try my best to make good matches where we wouldn’t need the “Equally Match Button”. However, we would still need it in case I accidently make an one-sided match. Also, it would be up to three members to activate the “Equally Match Button”, if they think a character should be strong/powerful as the other. Also, while the matches in the CBUB Fantasy Draft Season were created by the system, I as a human will be making the matches myself. I imagine there will be characters I don’t have much knowledge about. So everyone, please don’t give me a hard time if I accidently make a few one-sided matches.

An "equalize power" button would not remove debates. There are still plenty of factors that play in, such as mindset, skills, experience, equipment, ruthlessness, variety of powers(assuming that the equalizer button only equalizes their raw power), etc.

Well to make it clear on the “Equally Match Button”. It would give the character the same strength and speed as the other character. For example, if the “Equally Match Button” was use in a “Korra vs Goku” match, then Korra will have the same strength and speed as Goku. But Korra wouldn’t have Goku’s attacks, or transform into a Super Saiyan. However, if Goku transforms to Super Saiyan 4, then Korra will have the same strength/speed as SSJ4 Goku.
If the “Equally Match Button” was use in a match between two characters that can transform to other forms, they would still be on the same power level together.
Also, if the “Equally Match Button” was use in a match between a character and a universe-character, then that character will have the combine strength/speed of the people that make up the universe-character. Or the universe people together will have the same strength/speed as the character.

Consider this a tentative "I'm interested" post.

April 12th will be here really soon, but I would strongly suggest using categories. It doesn't have to be 1 character per slot (example- Street Level, High Powered, mega powered). It could be two or there characters per category, for instance two street levels and two high powered, two mega powered and wildcard freebee.

With the "equally match" button, there is no need for categories like that.

Since this thing seems to be taking off, I have a few quick questions about the matches in it, that will affect (at least my)team selections.
What are the standard rules for the matches? For example, are the participants in-character, doing everything in their power to win(generally mis-named as "bloodlusted"), or somewhere in-between.
If there are any team matches, are the members of your team willing to work together, or will internal struggles be a problem as well?
Are the fights random encounters, or do the participants have time to prepare and strategize before the matches?
And do the characters have knowledge of each other, limited knowledge(i.e. superman knows lex luthor) or are the opponents unknown to each other?
