Was it the championship? Everyone goes nuts, when they're team wins it all. It's an awesome event, and sometimes never occurs, in one's lifetime. I'm not ashamed to admit I'll probably cry, if the Cubs ever do it. I'm not that into college sports, though. Maybe if I'd actually gone to one, I'd understand it a bit more.. I'd imagine it's pretty similar to rooting for your hometown pro team, though. *Slaps Legacy* NBA Playoffs are right around the corner; I ain't even thinkin' about football, yet.

Heh. I watch too much, probably. Between baseball, basketball, and football, there aren't too many days, where I'm not watching a ball game. :/

Blegh.. Things could have gone better, for the Bulls. Hopefully, Rose comes back strong, next year. We could also use some better bench players; Thibodeau is playing those starters way too long. But you can't really blame him, when no one else can score...

Realized this is a comic book based forum, but still, OKC vs Clippers is gonna be great tonight.
Hope Pacers put up a good fight against the Heat.

Meh. We're still guys. I'd imagine quite a few of us watch sports. I've just been falling sleep, around 9:30-10:00 P.M., lately.. So, I haven't really been able to watch the Western series. ;w; The only team left, that I like, is Miami, anyways.

The Heat are pretty much a lock for the finals (sorry Pacers) but I'm torn about OKC/Spurs.
And I understand. Sleeping early is the way to go and I wish I could get back into that habit.
Anyone planning on seeing the World Cup?

The Heat aren't a lock for the Finals. Heat and Pacers battled it out last year showing either could beat the other. The Pacers have a awesome lineup that can take on the Heat. That's why people once again are gone love seeing Pacers and Heat again battle for the Finals.
I can't wait for the World Cup. My teams are Spain and Brazil. Love them.

I'm hoping the Pacers surprise me but Lebron is not playing around. Will be watching either way. Current prediction is Heat in 5. (Maybe 6)
And yeah, World Cup is going to be great. Spain and Brazil are rock solid but I'm rooting for the Germans.

I'm not into soccer(or football, depending on where you reside), sorry. =/
But yeah, I think Indiana will be the Heat's toughest challenge, so far. I feel sorry for anyone, that thought Charlotte or Brooklyn had a chance. Garnett and Pierce were great players, in their prime. But now? I just can't see them ever taking a team to the finals, again.. It's pretty much been the same story, ever since they won it all, back in '08: they get knocked out of contention, at some point. Probably time to retire.
Indiana had the better record, this year, as well, so we'll see. I find it interesting the top 2 seeds, in each conference, are the only ones left standing. And as for the Thunder and Spurs.. yeah, I think that one's going to be close, as well.

What's this? NBA discussion? Here I'm shocked! But yeah, for all the drama that went down in this year's playoffs, especially in the first round, the conference finals actually comes down to each conference's top seeds, as "expected". The Pacers in theory should be the Heat's toughest opponent so far, but the Pacers have been very inconsistent since March, and have even moreso in the playoffs. Hell, they had a chance to close out their series with the Wizards in game five, and what do they do? Get blown out by around 30 points. The Pacers were actually almost lucky that the Wizards' own playoff inexperience showed up in the next game. So while the Pacers might just get a little extra motivation going against the Heat (as they usually do), you never know which Pacer team is going to show up these days. I'm also thinking the Thunder might not quite have enough to beat the Spurs without Ibaka patrolling the paint and guarding the Spurs' big men. True, Collison and Steven Adams might step up a bit more to try to compensate (and Adams has kind of gotten into the heads of some key big men in the Thunder's previous series with his physical play), and, Durant and Westbrook may likely put up even bigger numbers than they've done so far, but the Spurs looked pretty tough and poised in the second round against a good Blazers team. On another note, we'd all probably be a bit more into the basketball aspect of these playoffs right now, but Donald Sterling just had to ... exist.

Yeah. I think the fact that the Heat lost to the Nets during the regular season gave people hope.
But obviously the Heat were just on cruise control during those games.
MARVANOTE: Well said DSkillz. Totally agree. I have a buddy who's a Blazers fan. They had a good team.

Yeah, that Sterling guy.. ugh. Putting all that aside, I wonder how that series would have gone, without all that drama going on. Clippers seemed pretty good, this year. Jack Nicholson even showed up, at a couple of games! D: The Wizards are a lot better, than I thought. Wall's only going to get better, so they could be a team to watch out for, in the coming years. But yeah, the Pacers didn't exactly play well against them or Atlanta, if I recall. Of course, only Miami took care of their 1st round opponent, with little difficulty. I'm leaning towards Miami, but I'm thinking it'll take 6 or 7 games. I still don't know about that Thunder/Spurs series, though.. San Antonio's gonna be really hard to beat, this year, though. They seem to be on top of their game. And I don't know if Durant has enough help, to do it. They talked on TNT, like he could be another LeBron James scenario. By that, I mean, leaving OKC for a team with another superstar(or two).

I'm not a Heat fan, but it's their championship to loose. In the end, whoever they face, will be beaten in six games. I don't see a seventh.
